Cilantro Lime Crema (df)

I was just thinking “what would be really good to top steak tacos, tonight”? And so this recipe came about!

This dairy-free cilantro lime crema is light and refreshing. It’s the perfect amount of tang, yet has such a creaminess without any actual dairy cream! Many crema recipes call for a dairy base like sour cream or full cream. The avocado in this recipe is actually what substitutes the dairy and gives this crema it’s creaminess. I could see this topping tacos (like we did tonight) or even as a dip with some crunchy tortilla chips. You can totally omit the jalapeño if spice isn’t your thing!

The best part about this recipe is that it all comes together with just 5 main ingredients and takes about 5 minutes to make. Check out the recipe below and let me know if you try it out!

  2. Add olive oil in 1 tbsp increments until you’ve reached a desired consistency. Enjoy 🙂
