I’m Ashley- your real food recipe creator and Registered Dietitian. I’m on a mission to simplify healthy eating by sharing nutrition tips, healthy recipes, and tidbits on how to live your happiest life. Here I hope that you get inspired to eat foods that nourish your body and leave you feeling full (literally and figuratively)!

 

 

My passion for food stems from a childhood of summers spent in Lebanon with my family. I grew up picking fresh eggs and plucking lemons with my grandfather in the backyard. I soon became old enough to realize that everything we ate was from our backyard. This fueled my passion in learning more on how food is medicine.

 

 

Eating doesn’t have to be complicated and often times we just need help on where to start. There’s so much nutrition junk out there on the internet, where do you even begin? I’m here to bring you back to the basics, give you the science and evidence behind healthy eating and overall wellness.

Ever since I can remember I’ve been obsessed with food… And not always the healthy kind! I quickly became fascinated in learning all that I could learn on how to fuel my body with the right foods. I’ve been through it all- restrictive eating, leading to binge eating, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, orthorexia, counting every single calorie, and all the fun fad diets (yes, even keto). After my education in the nutrition field, I started to become more in tune with what my body really needed and at the same time learned to be a little more forgiving of myself. I’m here to help you through whatever it may be and to help you better understand your relationship with food. Food is fun, social, culturally, apart of who we are… NOT the enemy.

We are all on our own unique journey to ultimate wellbeing and our relationship with food is an everlasting work in progress.

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT ONE MUST GIVE UP DELICIOUS FOODS TO BE HEALTHY.

Together, let’s rediscover the true meaning of health that is rooted in nourishment, not deprivation.
